Montana’s Flathead County had two serious pedestrian collisions in less than a week. The first pedestrian accident occurred when two men ran out in the road on U.S. 2 at the intersection of Montclair Drive. This fatal pedestrian accident happened on Saturday, September 25th when the men were struck by a Jeep Cherokee. Both victims were rushed to the hospital where 39-year-old, Kyle Kindgren, died. The other pedestrian, 33-year-old, Rory Holcomb was transported to Harborview Medical Center where he is still in ICU in critical condition.
Less than a week later, on Tuesday, another pedestrian accident occurred in Flathead County at Ninth Street near First Avenue West. A Toyota Tercel was turning into the setting sun onto Ninth Street from First Avenue West when he struck a 55-year-old man in the street. The driver was unable to see the man as the setting sun was in his eyes and was not charged in the incident. The victim struck the windshield of the vehicle suffering a head injury and leg injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for his injures. Drug paraphernalia was discovered near the scene, but it is unclear whether the drugs belong to the pedestrian or played a role in the accident.
Our sympathies go out to the Kindgren family and we pray for the quick recovery of the two other victims. Dealing with the death of a loved one is never easy and can take a lot out of a person. Severe depression and anxiety often follow these horrible accidents, but it is imperative to seek the help of an experienced wrongful death lawyer if your family member has been killed by a negligent person.
