Being a Woodenville car crash attorney and Washington wrongful death lawyer it seems that every day I am faced with a tragic fatal Washington auto accident.  In all of these accidents there is nothing more tragic than a young life cut short.

The morning of February 1st a 3 car accident took the life of a 17-year-old Issaquah boy. Around 10:20 am the 17-year-old victim was headed north on I-405 just north of I-90. The 17-year-old was traveling in the left hand land when he attempted to avoid the stopped traffic ahead of him by abruptly changing lanes. As he suddenly turned into the lane to the right of him he lost control of his Dodge Neon and hit the rear end of a Chevy Suburban. The neon then rotated sideways and the driver’s side was struck by a Honda unable to avoid the collision.

The 17-year-old driver was rushed to Harborview Medical Center, but died shortly after due to extensive injuries. The driver of the Chevy struck by the teen was taken to Overlake Hospital for treatment the driver of the second third vehicle involved in the collision suffered minor injuries.

The investigation into the fatal auto accident is ongoing, but it appears speed played a significant role in the accident.

The boy was allegedly on his way to school in Woodenville, Washington when the accident occurred. The stalled traffic that lead the boy to make such a sudden lane change was due to a previous collision on the Interstate. Our thoughts go out to the friends and family of the young man involved in this horrible accident.
