El abogado Jason Epstein hizo una visita sorpresa a su aula y le entreg\u00f3 el premio mientras sus estudiantes aplaud\u00edan y vitoreaban con entusiasmo. Epstein explic\u00f3: \u201cLo eligieron entre todas las nominaciones que present\u00f3 el p\u00fablico de todo el condado de King debido a su dedicaci\u00f3n para ayudar a los estudiantes a tener \u00e9xito\u201d. Corragio estaba claramente at\u00f3nito cuando le entregaron la placa del premio y el cheque gigante por $150. Despu\u00e9s de expresar su gratitud a todos, hubo una explosi\u00f3n de risas en el aula mientras bromeaba: \u201cEse es el cheque m\u00e1s grande que he visto en mi vida. \u00a1No creo que quepa en mi billetera!\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">La nominaci\u00f3n presentada a PLG destac\u00f3 el compromiso de Coraggio de \u201cir m\u00e1s all\u00e1\u201d para ayudar a los estudiantes a alcanzar su potencial al ofrecer oportunidades de aprendizaje creativas y desafiantes combinadas con orientaci\u00f3n y retroalimentaci\u00f3n alentadoras. Su dedicaci\u00f3n a los estudiantes contin\u00faa fuera del aula. Desempe\u00f1a un papel activo en la Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) de la escuela y recientemente ayud\u00f3 a crear un d\u00eda multicultural anual que comenz\u00f3 este a\u00f1o en marzo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cFue inspirador conocer el impacto positivo que el Sr. Coraggio tuvo en tantos estudiantes, dentro y fuera del aula.
