Last year, thousands of people were killed in traffic accidents. As a Bellevue auto accident attorney and Washington wrongful death lawyer, it pains me knowing that incidents like this occur every day in Washington and across the country.

This past Saturday, a car accident in Bremerton took the life of an 18- year-old sailor. The man was stationed at Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor.

The tragic incident happened at around 3:30 p.m.
California native, Mark S. Schroeder, was driving southbound on Highway 3 when he lost control of his vehicle. The man overcorrected a turn and crashed into a power pole.

Sadly, Schroeder died instantly at the scene of the collision. The three 19 and 20-year-old passengers inside the car suffered minor injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. Two have been released. No information has been released on the current condition of the third passenger.

All occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident and investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.

We are very sorry to learn of this tragic loss.
