Even as a Washington car accident and personal injury lawyer, it is always terrible to hear of new car accidents where someone has suffered serious personal injuries or a wrongful death.
Wednesday, a fatal multiple car accident on state Highway 74 claimed the life of a Washington man. The collision occurred near Goldsby at about 2 p.m.
Lonnie Henson, 35, was driving a 1992 International truck south on the highway when her vehicle veered into the northbound lanes. The truck struck a trailer that was being towed by a pickup truck and then struck a 2004 white Hyundai Santa Fe.
The Hyundai drove off the road, and then overcorrected left causing it to roll over twice. The driver of the vehicle, 67-year-old Gerald Ball, was partly ejected from the vehicle.
Unfortunately, Gerald Ball did not survive the crash and died instantly at the scene. His wife, Linda Ball, suffered serious head, arm and trunk internal injuries. She was immediately taken to OU Medical Center for care.
Fortunately, no other people were injured in the crash. We are very sorry for the loss of Gerald Ball. We will keep the family in our thoughts during this difficult time.
