After receiving multiple nominations, Natalia Schroeder, a Spanish teacher at Hazen High School, was chosen by Premier Law Group for their “Teacher of the Month” award. Attorney Jason Epstein surprised Schroeder and her class with the announcement and presented her with a certificate and giant check for $150 in recognition of her outstanding service. As the class started clapping and cheering, Schroeder appeared stunned, then moved, by the attention.
The nomination submitted to PLG highlighted Schroeder’s willingness to go above-and-beyond to help students succeed and her unique ability to connect with them through genuine caring and encouraging feedback. One student shared their thoughts about Schroeder, “Every day, she comes around while checking our homework and asks each of us how we are doing… if someone’s having a rough time she takes the time to make sure that they are safe, and if they need anything to make the day a little better.”
Natalia Schroeder’s honest concern and empathy for her students creates a trusting, supportive environment that allows students to thrive. She demonstrates all the qualities that Premier Law Group looks for when choosing their “Teacher of the Month” award recipient. The law firm started the award program as part of their ongoing commitment to recognizing the outstanding contributions of King County teachers. “Teachers are such an inspiration to their students and the community. We wanted to show our appreciation for their hard work, passion, and dedication,” explained attorney Jason Epstein. Knowing that budgets are tight, and teachers often pay out-of-pocket for supplies, PLG decided to include a small contribution with the award certificate to help defray their classroom costs.
If you know an outstanding King County teacher, nominate them by visiting Premier Law Group’s “Teacher of the Month” webpage and fill out the nomination form.
