Video: What are the most common reasons we don’t accept cases?

We work on a contingency fee basis. That means we only get paid if and when we win your case for you. So the most common reason we won’t take a case is if we don’t think we can win. Usually that’s because liability is heavily disputed and may in fact rest with you. In other words, the accident may be your fault or in large part your fault.

The other reason we won’t take cases is if we can’t add any value. I don’t want to take your cases so that I can simply get paid unless I am going to be able to put you in a better position than if you hadn’t hired me. In the overwhelming majority of cases that come to me, where liability is clear, we can put you in a much better position even after you pay our attorney’s fees. But sometimes when it doesn’t seem like we will be able to do that, I’ll tell you up front you’re better off not hiring an attorney. Questions? Call us at 206-285-1743.
