Vehicle Plows Into Crowd of People | Seattle Personal Injury Lawyer

As a Seattle personal injury lawyer, I understand how devastating a severe injury when you least expect it can be on you and family members. Being hurt in an accident that was caused by someone else can leave many lingering questions and concerns. According to King 5 News, several people were seriously hurt when a vehicle plowed into them outside a bar after closing time on Saturday. The incident occurred outside of Nectars Lounge in Fremont. A Subaru driven by a young twenty year old, drove straight into a crowd of people that were standing in front of the bar around closing time. Five people were severely injured in the collision and taken to a local hospital in critical condition. Witnesses claim that the car was driving fast enough to cause the victims to fly up over the vehicle and many of the victims were still on the ground when the paramedics arrived on scene. Police are still investigating the accident but alcohol is suspected to have played a part. The driver of the vehicle has been arrested and charged with vehicular assault.

Drinking and driving is extremely dangerous due to the impairment in balance and judgement it causes the driver. Fathers Against Drunk Driving reported that nationally, around 250,000 people are injured a year in alcohol related accidents. Remember, it is never ok to drink and drive and always take care when operating a vehicle.
